Overall Comment

The location of this rental is perfect for those visiting the Kissimmee area. The property was very clean and accommodating; however, our only complaint was the poor quality of the "leather" sofa which was shedding small white "leather" particles throughout the residence as well as the carpet needing to be replaced as you could tell by stepping on the tack strips when transitioning from room to room.

Great location! Super close to everything. Facilities were great, but note that the pool is not heated in the winter, so it was cold. The hot tub is heated though. The sofa in the house could definitely be replaced, carpet is worn and a few more things in the kitchen would be helpful. There was no cutting board, can opener, and very little utensils. We greatly enjoyed our stay there - the location to the pool is awesome. It was very convenient and we would recommend it.

Lovely Stay With Some Suggestions!

We stayed in Easter 2022. First, the property itself is clean, very quiet & very safe. Loved it! The villa we stayed in was also quite nice. I have a few suggestions that I think could enhance the enjoyment of the residence. I hope this will help the owners and also give future guests an idea of what to expect. First the pros: comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, just as in photos, TVs in every room, beautiful decor, easy check-in, great parking. My observations: the carpet def needs cleaning. Very dirty. Every stain shows because it's beige. Lot of wear and tear; marks on the wall etc could be touched up. The dining area was dark. Had to turn on all the lights in the living, dining & kitchen area even with blinds opened to get sufficient light. Ideas to make the place feel more like a home: hooks to hang things on the back of the doors in the bathrooms; a laundry basket for the washer/dryer, small wastebaskets in the bedrooms. Also, one out of two outlets didn't work. Not sure why but in the age of technology you need all the outlets you can get. Very surprised that there were no recycling bins in the villa nor at the dumpster. I thought there would be a proper recycling system at such a big resort. I didn't see one. Also, there was only one dumpster that seemed to service a lot of villas. At one point it was overflowing. The description in our listing stated that the pool is heated until 30 April. We were there until 23 April and went to the pool on a very cold morning. We thought it would be heated but it definitely was NOT, which was disappointing. Also, there seemed to be one pool for the entire resort! I did not drive around the property to see if there were others but we were close to the clubhouse/pool and some days it was very full. The capacity is only 39. Def. need more pools for such a large property. Management answered emails quickly. Had a few issues and they were responsive. Overall, enjoyed our stay at Lucaya. Would def consider returning!

Great place for Disney - a little far for Universal

Overall, it was great! Everything was clean, and very nice. Very close to the pool on the grounds. The eateries and shops are near by for things we had forgotten or needed. Gated community with code lock on door - felt very safe for me and my kids. Fast response when I had questions to property management. My only negative was location for our purposes. Very, very close for Disney goers (literally 2 miles from Animal Kingdom entrance). However, with traffic, close to an hour drive to Universal, despite the short distance via mileage.
